Pakistan’s 2016 Honda Civic Officially Launched in a One of a Kind Way!
2016 Honda Civic a car we waited for over ten months since its global unveil is finally here and roaming on our streets. “Roaming on the street on its day of debut?” Sounds pretty unusual, right? Well, that is exactly what is happening right now, as Honda has rolled out dozens of Honda Civics in Brilliant Blue Metallic and in Ralley Red on the streets of Lahore to give the car a launch in style. The 20 cars rolled out came with a clearly visible decal on the door which read “CIVIC VTEC TURBO” they can be seen in the photos and a video below!

As usual, Honda’s website too saw an update which revealed the technical specification and most importantly a long rumoured lower spec and lesser priced third variant at a cost of PKR 2,349,000. Moreover, pricing of i-VTEC Oriel and VTEC Turbo too saw a change as now they are priced at PKR 2,499,000 and PKR 2,999,000 respectively. As far as delivery times, i-VTEC Oriel has a waiting time of 2.5 months whilst for VTEC Turbo you will need to wait for four months!

In addition to a rolling launch in Lahore and a press event at Faletti’s Hotel, Civic 2016 got launch ceremonies in almost every dealership across Pakistan. However, due to the fragmented nature of dealership structure in Pakistan, mixed launch experiences were reported ranging from simple display of both the variants to proper red carpet-esque launches complimented with confetti (like the one done by Honda Avenue.)

very disappointed with the digital display / speedo etc .. seen in person it looks cheap like a city’s one .. rip until I see the blue one ..
Look like a big car
Sexy
it is 1 inch shorter, 1 inch wider than the current Corolla
Well, carefully a Pakistani model launched , not comparable even to Middle East & inferior to all including US and European models. of course due to cost cutting but still it is very expensive compared to imported Vezel or Audi A3. Will not match price with Toyota corolla Altis .which also is overpriced.. However Honda’s pak manufactured materials like, body, seating, dash board are much superior than Toyota any model
PakWheels please provide a detailed comparison of the three variants.
is it just me or does it look like a replica/ chaapa of the vezel ? just less height and a few other detail difference.
most of the automakers around the globe have adapted a single design language for their cars. Making this as their brand representation. Which Audi is doing for quite a time now.
no its both longer and wider!
im sure this must be marketing stunt. harami facelift me denge!
Awais you summed it up well!!
A good vezel under 10000km mileage is not less than 35lac which makes it 5 lac more expensive… And A3 is 38.5 lac which makes it 8.5 lac more expensive than turbo…. Oriel sirf 25lac kee hai which means only 1lac more than a 2.5year old grande jis mein iss say bhi ziyada cost cutting hai
@aflatoon92:disqus Obviously :p
Lower quality, higher priced but extra ordinary marketing to fool the public into buying one of the two sedan options available in our country (the other one is Corolla of course). When would we learn to see the real picture that Suzuki, Toyota and Honda have a monopoly in Pakistan. They launch sub-standard, higher priced models with an “understanding” between them not to trip over each other’s toes (have you ever though why Honda and Toyota haven’t launched their smaller vehicles in Pakistan?).
Anyways good luck to those fooled by such tricks. My honest suggestion would be “not to buy” to teach them a lesson. These companies need to bring the pricing down, offer more options to consumers and improve the quality standards. Buying even one such corolla, civic or mehran is a contribution to their cause.
Bhai 33% tu gari par tax hai phir bhi aap ko costly Lagti hai gari ki real price Dekho than compare it with middle East and American Honda and don’t blame Honda the fault is in our government not Honda or other companies.
what should we do then start walking to places or ride bicycles to long journeys to other cities… Japanese cars are an option but the truth is they are worse and are often damages cars are imported which makes these local cars better at least they are new for the money paid and do their job quite well.
Exactly
What active safety feature does this car has? Please excuse my words, is japanese trika (honda, toyota and suzuki) nai awam ko phuddo lagaya hua hai.
100% agreed. front and rear lights change kerdo bumper change kerdo hamari awam isi pe khush hai. Na koi active safety feature na koi technology main advancement. hamari awam yehi deserve kerti hai.
bhai tax zyada ha lekin baqi countries ma b 0 rated tw ne ha na, wahan itna ne par kuch na kuch tw tax parta na. ek kaam karen ye yan prices kum karen ya options nikal len, prices b high or option b koi ne.
brother almost brand new vezel and prius can be bought for 30-35, yes the dealers that are selling cars at high margin do repair cars but the grading system is in place for a reason. though I’m against kei cars but other than that JDMs are way better. for prius you now got support from Toyota showrooms.
vezel has different trim levels and I recently helped an importer selling two vezels for 33 and 34 lac though he was demanding 35-36, one was top of the line with 1700 km mileage while other was just on trim below it with some 5500km on it. Prices on pakwheels website are higher than what cars are sold for in reality.
it is longer and wider by some 10mm and my pinky finger is 14mm though I’m 6’1 and weigh less than 55 kg. so the difference isn’t much observable infact the rear seats have still less leg space than corolla even though Honda sacrificed fuel tank capacity which is 47 liter (55 liter in corolla)
hahahahaha – i did compare. jo feature apki top of the line gari main hain wohi features add kar k. honda usa per. $23,900 aur ap wohi 600,000 mehangi baich rahy ho.
