As always, PakWheels is bringing an exclusive first look review for you. Today, MG Pakistan hosted an exclusive event to unveil the first locally assembled unit of MG HS. By the end of the event, they showcased their “Future Models”. One of these models was the very much talked about sedan, MG GT. The unit on display was the same one that was spotted just a few days ago.
PakWheels.com got an exclusive access to MG GT and you are getting the first look review of this car. Again, this is a test unit, hence, there is no confirmation about its official launch or price.
Till then, here are some teasers of the upcoming car.
MG Pakistan has been hinting at the launch of the MG GT sedan for a long time. It all started with Javed Afridi’s tweet back in February. The company is currently testing the CBU unit of the MG GT sedan. Display of MG GT in this event as a Future Model means the official launch maybe sooner than expected.
Let’s have a look at the international specs and features of MG GT, so we know what we might be getting soon.
Engine & Transmission
MG GT comes with a 1.5L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder 16-valve engine that produces 118 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque and is mated with CVT.
Exterior
From the looks of it, MG GT is a premium sedan. The front fascia looks exciting with a chrome-plated grille dipping towards the ground, and sleek diamond-cut LED headlights. The roofline slopes all the way to the rear edge and meets the LED taillights.
The exterior has other notable features like Bi-function projection headlights, front and rear aero wipers, LED daytime running lights, follow-me-home headlights, rear fog lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, to name a few.
Interior
The interior looks just as classy as the exterior. The most noticeable feature right off the bat is the red trims on the doors, headrests, and center console storage box. The dashboard looks sporty with a jewel pattern and a chrome accent. The electric sunroof is like icing on the cake; it takes the premium feel to a whole another level.

Safety
MG GT has got a five stars rating by the European New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) because it comes fitted with safety features such as:

- Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD)
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
- Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)
- Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)
- Curve Brake Control
- Traction Control System
- Airbags
