Japanese automaker Toyota is all set to launch its new global crossover SUV in Thailand. The reports have suggested that Corolla Cross will hit the market in the country within next two months. Earlier in April, a heavily camouflaged test mule of the vehicle was seen testing in Thailand. Now, for the very first time, a spy shot of the car’s front has been shared on social media.

The Cross will be unpinned by the latest TNGA architecture and will be launched as a more practical alternative to the C-HR crossover. Keeping in mind the low price of C-HR, this new vehicle is expected to be more spacious as compared to Yaris, which has been launched recently.
The reports further suggested that Cross will have a length of 4,460mm, 1,615mm height and 1,825mm width. The car will have 2,700mm wheelbase, same as regular corolla car by the company. The cross will have same power and set of engines as standard Corolla Sedan including 1.8L & 2.0L. The vehicle will also come in conventional aspirated, turbocharge and hybrid shapes.

Toyota will launch this new vehicle in Asia initially. After that, it will be introduced in South American market, where it will be manufactured in Brazil. The company will offer engine options depending on demand in separate local markets. Although the vehicle is expected to be launched in international markets in 2021, Thailand will be the first market to receive the new Corolla Cross.
Earlier in March, Toyota launched Yaris in Pakistan, replacing its 1300cc variants in the domestic market. The company has launched this vehicle in the competition of Honda City. The new vehicle comes in both 1300cc and 1500cc engine power, just like its competitor. The company has launched Yaris in six different colors and six different variants for Pakistani consumers.
