Toyota has wrapped off the all-new Yaris Cross Hybrid SUV in ASEAN regions. The company has launched a new B- Segment car in Indonesia, which offers more style and performance than Toyota Raize – another SUV in the segment. Yaris Cross hybrid carries the capacity to stand toe to toe with the rival Hyundai Creta in the Indonesian market. The car is built on Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA).
Dimensions
The SUV is 4,310 mm long, 1,615 mm tall, 1,770 mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. The car lags Creta in terms of length and wheelbase.
Exterior
The style and design language of the car reveals that the new Yaris cross hybrid adopts cues from various Toyota cars. The front fascia flaunting the aggressive headlamps, large grille, and fog lamps got some inspiration from Toyota Highlander. Whereas the boxy wheel arches, greenhouse, taillights, and toned-up rear shoulders are reminiscent of RAV4.
Interior
Coming inside the cabin, the interior of the SUV comes with:

Power
The SUV comes with two engines options:
(a) Petrol – naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter Dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol serving up 105 hp and 138 Nm of torque mated with CVT or 5-speed manual gearbox sending power to the front wheels.
(b) Hybrid – combined with 1.5L 2NR-VEX naturally aspirated 4 cylinder producing 90hp and 121 Nm. The engine is laced with an electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery making 79 hp of power and 141 Nm of torque.
Mind you, the Yaris Cross hybrid is a fully hybrid vehicle carrying enough power to push the car in electric mode while the engine is powered off.
