In an effort to curb the rising trend of fake driving licenses, Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police, A.D Khawaja has introduced new computerized driving license systems today. Sources report that this system will be linked with the NADRA’s online system. Renewal of old license will take an estimated 15 minutes, while the new license will be issued within 40 minutes. Furthermore, for the convenience of citizens, Sindh Police has made sure that any fee regarding this procedure can be submitted in any bank.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating up-gradation of driving license software and model setup in Karachi’s Clifton area, IG Sindh said that this move will help to deal with fake driving licenses. Also, one-window operation has made the process less hectic for the applicants.
