For the second time, in the past two days, camouflaged Toyota cars have been spotted doing test rounds.
Note here that the company had already planned to discontinue its Xli and Gli variants in favor of Toyota Vios/Yaris. It seems that the company is finally gearing up to introduce its new iteration in the market for its customers in Pakistan. From the look of the exterior of the car, it seems like Toyota Vios. The vehicle is registered under the name of IMC Toyota. The spotted car is 1300cc Sedan.

A few days back the company has also started offering a limited-time free registration on the purchase of all variants of 1.3-litre Toyota Corolla. The reason could be that the company is eyeing to launch the new car as well as to clear its inventory. The move by the company raised eyebrows of many auto enthusiasts, many of whom started saying that the company is finally launching Vios/Yaris in the country. It is likely that the new vehicle will be launched by the end of this year or in Q1 of the next year.
Remember that the particular car is being sold in many countries under the name of Vios and Yaris. Many in Pakistan are arguing that the newly launched car would be Vios, not Yaris and vice versa. However, as per our credible source, the new car would be launched under the nameplate of Yaris. Our source has also said that the car will come in three to four different variants and with both manual and auto transmission. Note here that the company initially decided to launch the car under Vios nameplate, however, due to unknown reasons the name has been changed to Yaris, he further said.
Moreover, he further revealed that the particular car would be shipped in the market with 1.3 and 1.5 engine options and the starting price of the base variant would be around PKR 2.4 million.
Whether the company name the car Vios or Yaris doesn’t matter, the important thing is that the company is bringing something new for its customers.

Toyota sells Yaris1.3 n Corolla1.5 both in ME. Yaris is cheaper there and much smaller in size……..something closer to a Sedan version of Vitz. Corolla sells by its name but Yaris serves the lower end customers. Its considered a poor mans car and not taken seriously by market.
I have serious doubts if people here will like it because a Corolla all over the world sells as a standard sedan liked by many………..the competition is going to be between Yaris Honda City and Corolla wanting demand. A very interesting move. I will not buy it. Its going to be a hayday for competitor 1.3 manufacturers.

So you are expert on cars,Toyotas Yaris a poor man car and a Toyota Corolla a rich man car,what logic are you using both are Toyota cars with same running gear like engines and gearboxes and similar suspension setup available in the International markets as a sedan and as a hatchback,one is sightly bigger then the other.
dr faisal’s view is exactly right in uae same scenario peoples dont like yaris to much and it is low price than corolla.
I second Dr. Faisal’s comment. The same thing is true in KSA. Both Yaris and Corolla are Sedans, however, Yaris is much smaller in size.
Fully agreed with Dr. Faisal, there is no comparison with Corolla, yes in middle east its considered a poor mans car, normally using by salesman’s, merchandisers mean a single person car, with fully occupied seats its touched on humps even difficult to drive on off road.

Generally in the UAE market most cars sold are with large engines very few 1.5 and and even fewer 1.3 engine cars are sold.Most cars sold in the UAE are with large capacity engines of 2000 -5000 cc so do not compare UAE market with Pakistan market

agreed with Dr. Faisal sb, in addition it seems that Toyota is going to make more money in Pakistan by suspending its Corolla and introducing Yaris. car prices are already very high in Pakistan with poor quality and not meeting international standards. i dont think it will be famous in Pakistan as long as price is kept lower….
