Honda operates through two joint ventures in Pakistan’s automobile industry with the Atlas Group. It owns a 51% stake in Honda Atlas Cars and a 35% stake in Atlas Honda.
The largest motorcycle manufacturer in Pakistan, Atlas Honda Limited, stated a net profit of Rs 1.1 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2017, up 29% compared with Rs 850 million in the corresponding period of previous year, as per the company, the notice is sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
Earnings per share increased to Rs 10.64 in April-June 2017 from Rs 8.22 in the same quarter of previous year.
Atlas Honda’s stock increased 1% to Rs 590 at the PSX on Monday while the set standard KSE 100-share Index closed up 98 points or 0.21% at 46,010.
