Following the introduction of its hybrid model, Indus Motor Company (IMC) has now unveiled the petrol version of its crossover SUV, the Corolla Cross. The non-hybrid variant is available in two options: 1.8x and 1.8.
Previously, the company launched the locally assembled hybrid Corolla Cross in Pakistan in December 2023, transitioning from selling completely built-up (CBU) units. Here, in this blog, we decided to bring visual tour of the car, providing a detailed exploration of design elements and technological features the vehicle actually boasts.
Exterior
The vehicle is equipped with 17-inch alloy rims paired with 215/60/R17 tires. In the X variant, the premium model, the headlights feature Bi-Beam LED technology, while the base variant includes Halogen headlights.
However, both variants include daytime running lights (DRLs) and an Auto Light System with a Follow Me Home option. Similarly, the top variant features LED brake lamps, whereas the base variant has Halogen brake lamps. Additionally, the top variant offers LED fog lamps, which are not present in the base model.
Both variants include a shark fin antenna, a day and night inside rearview mirror, as well as a back monitor for enhanced visibility and safety.
Interior
Moving inside the car, the top variant boasts dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, a feature absent in the base variant which only offers single-zone climate control without rear AC vents. Both variants are equipped with a 4.2-inch color Multi Info Display (MID), push start, smart entry options, and EPS tilt + telescope steering. However, there’s a distinction in the steering material: the top variant features a 3-spoke leather steering wheel, whereas the base variant opts for a 3-spoke urethane steering wheel.
In the top variant, the steering wheel hosts switches for MID, audio, telephone, voice control, and cruise control, while the base variant lacks a cruise control switch, meaning this feature is exclusive to the top variant.
