The tyers for winters have Traction Optimized for Cold Temperatures which enhanced the stability of the tyre on the road, helping it in staying on the road. Furthermore, the compound of these tyres remain flexible while maintaining low temperature, which is great in cold weather. Meanwhile, the summer tyres have Softer Rubber Compound, which are great to drive on normal roads and to hold their position on potholes and broken roads.

 Grooves and Sipes: 

The tyres for summer have Less Grooves, meaning their design is rather straight and simple, because they are designed to run on just roads. Meanwhile, the winter ones have Greater Amount of Sipes to keep greater grip on snow and also help the tyres to move in deep snow. The sipes help the tyre to dig snow and help the car in running very smoothly. Furthermore, these tyres have more grooves which helps the car out of snow.

Width of Tyre: 

The summer tyres are wider as compared to winter tyres. The width help them to keep a strong grip on road, and stability on bumpy roads. Meanwhile, the winter tyres are there to keep the drive smooth on snow, hence, they are not that wider.
