PRICE RANGE – Is Alsvin Getting a Competitor From Proton?

There is a serious anticipation in local car market as a new sedan is expected to arrive very soon. Yes, we are talking about Proton SAGA. Earlier, we shared exclusive pictures of the car and they made us to research further on it, especially about its price range. In January, Changan Alsvin hit the market with a storm, mainly due to its reasonable prices. So, the question is will Proton SAGA be able to compete Alsvin, and other cars in this segment including Toyota Yaris and Honda City.

Expected Price of Proton SAGA: 

After a thorough research, our sources have told us about the price claimed by Al-Haj FAW Motors of the cars. Furthermore, our sources further told us about the import duties and taxes on per unit of the sedan. So, as per our research, the company has claimed Rs8,50,000 as actual price of the car without any taxes. Meanwhile, the duty on the car is around Rs7,50,000, which makes the car’s worth around Rs15-16 lacs.

So, we think the price of the car should be around Rs20-lacs to Rs22-lacs, because it seems reasonable and perfect to give tough competition to Alsvin.

Number of CBU Units of SAGA Arrived in Pakistan:

So, we dig further and as per our sources, the company has imported around 20 units at start of this month. Further, reportedly there are two variants, first is the simple one, while the second one is sports variant.

So, these are the details we know about the upcoming sedan in Pakistan. If Proton launched this car in above-mentioned price range, then the GAME IS ON! Because the competition in this segment is going to get tough.
