Earlier this month, we told you about the E-Driving License introduced by Lahore City Traffic Police to facilitate the drivers. According to details, traffic police will not issue a challan over the absence of a physical driving license. The citizens can keep an E-driving license copy on their phone and show it to the traffic warden when asked. It would help the citizens and diminish the chances of losing their license.
The new initiative was taken by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Mustansir Feroz, who aims to facilitate the drivers. The traffic wardens could scan this e-license to check its authenticity.
How to Get an E-Driving License?
The Twitter handle of Lahore City Traffic Police has shared the simple procedure to get an e-license. You just have to go to the Punjab DLIMS website, go to the e-license page, and simply enter your CNIC number and Date of Birth. After entering this information, your driver’s license will appear digitally; you can save it on your phone and simply show it to the traffic warden when asked.
The traffic warden will scan it through a QR code and verify it. The whole process is simple and would end the hassle of keeping a physical copy with you.

According to police officials, now every driving license is an e-license, and the citizens can show these two traffic wardens to avoid challans. This initiative would make the process of checking driving licenses short and smooth and help the drivers who have forgotten their licenses or haven’t received them from the government. The traffic police took multiple steps to encourage citizens to get a driving license by making the procedure very simple.
The drivers just have to take their CNICs to any nearby Traffic Police License Center and get the learner immediately. Furthermore, the driving license can be get by simply passing a test, and a driving test.
