It’s raining compact SUVs in Pakistan for the last couple of years, and as per our sources, there is going to be a new entrant. KIA Lucky Motors is undoubtedly leading company in this segment as it has dominated it since the launch of KIA Sportage in 2019. And now, we believe that the company is bringing another one, but this time it may launch to compete Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra.

Which Car is it?

As per some photos from Karachi port, KIA has imported three units of KIA Stonic, which is a B-segment crossover SUV. Internationally, the Car was launched in 2017 and came with four engine options, i.e., 1,000cc Turbocharged, 1200cc 4-Cylinder Naturally Aspirated, 1400cc 4-Cylinder Naturally Aspirated and 1600cc 4-Cylinder Diesel Engine.

The vehicle also comes with four transmissions, i.e., 5-Speed Manual, 6-Speed Manual, 6-Speed Automatic and 7-Speed DCT.

Which KIA Stonic Will Come to Pakistan?

As we mentioned earlier, it is a B-segment crossover, meaning it is one of smallest KIA SUV in this category. It means the company is planning to launch it against Civic, Corolla and Elantra. Furthermore, it will also compete with MG ZS, Honda BR-V and upcoming DFSK Glory 500. Hence, a tough competition ahead.

As far as its price is concerned, we don’t have any guess as yet. But we hope that it will be compatible with the above-mentioned cars.

We think it will be an exciting addition to this segment because it will directly compete against the sedan category. If KIA launched it in the price range of these cars, then its success chances will be pretty high.

What do you think about this potential launch? Are you excited? What do you think about its expected price? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
