The Federal Government of Pakistan has increased the price of petroleum products by up to Rs.6 per liter.
On March 31, 2019, the Ministry of Finance issued a notification in this regard as well. The prices will be applicable from 1st of April till April 30, 2019. Note here that the price of petrol has been increased by Rs.6 per liter, whereas the rate of high-speed diesel has also been increased by Rs.6 per liter. The price of kerosene oil has been increased by Rs.3 per liter and that of light-speed diesel has been increased by Rs.3 per liter as well.
The new prices are as follows:
Petrol: Rs.98.89 per litre
High-speed diesel: Rs.117.43 per litre
Kerosene oil: Rs.89.31 per litre
Light-speed diesel: Rs.80.54 per litre
The previous prices are below:
Petrol: Rs.92.89 per liter
High-speed diesel: Rs. 111.43 per liter
Kerosene oil: Rs.86.31 per liter
Light-speed diesel: Rs.77.54 per liter
It is imperative to note here that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) recommended the Finance Ministry to increase the price of petroleum products by up to Rs.12 per liter.
