Who doesn’t want a sports car and for that matter a brand new without paying a penny? You may not, but I want a sports car badly. In an interesting turns out event a Lamborghini Huracan has been given to his Holiness, Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of millions of Catholics around the world. But it seems that he doesn’t want to drive the car for his own sake.
According to the reports coming from the Vatican- residing place for Popes, the all-new Lamborghini Huracan will be auctioned, and the money will go to three different charities. It is pertinent to mention here that the Lamborghini already costs around $200,000 and now with a sign mark (Francesco) of Pope on its hood will soar its price many folds. Let’s see who gets his hands on this car.
As mentioned above the money will go to charities, one of share will go to people in Iraq to rebuild their homes, and the other two parts of the charity will go to sex-trafficking victims and developments projects in the continent of Africa.
The car is painted white and yellow to make it resemble the official flag of Vatican City. The holy car will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s on 12 May 2018. RM Sotheby’s is a classic auction company, which is running the business from 1991.
This is not the first time pope has signed something for the purpose of charity. Back in 2014, Pope signed Harley-Davidson, and it was sold for a hefty price of $284,000. And same with the Harley jacket, which was signed by the pope was sold for $68,000.
Moreover, during his visit to United States of America Pope was driven around with Fiat 500L which was later sold at an auction for $82,000. It official price at that time was mere $21,000. It is hoped that the Lamborghini Huracan will be auctioned off well.
