So, the question arises, should you wait for Proton cars, especially for Proton Saga or not? We are here with some valid and concrete reasons to explain what makes Saga worth waiting for. So, without any further delay, here are those reasons.

  • Eco Mode

One of the most important aspects behind the decision making of a buyer of a sedan is the fuel average. The middle-class people of a country are the main buyers of these cars, hence, low fuel consumption is a major concern for them. Keeping this in mind, Proton has offered Eco Mode in Saga. The eco mode assists in reducing a car’s fuel consumption. When the car is put in Eco mode, the engine takes in air in a controlled way in order to save fuel. Eco mode is used when driving at a lower speed which is a great thing considering the jam packed traffic we come across in our daily lives in the country.

The Hill Hold Assist may be one of the most important safety features in a car and Proton is offering it in Saga. As it is apparent from its name, the feature is very helpful while driving in hilly areas. Now you may ask, how does it work? Here is a brief explanation. While travelling on a steep road you have to pull up your hand brake if you remove your foot from the brake pedal. However, with Hill Hold Assist your car will remain on the same spot for 3 seconds after you remove your foot from the brake and in the mean time you can press the accelerator and drive on. Despite the old school design of the dashbord, this saga is sure offering a lot of modern features, never judge a book by it’s cover, is clearly applicable for this car.

    Only person who is going to be waiting on Saga is the one who does not fear to lose money required in maintaining a car, Proton’s parts are quiet expensive, or the person who does not care if he loses about 200,000 at time when he is re-selling the car.
    Anyway, the recent silent and rather sudden death of F.A.W. V2 is an eye opener about the kind of consequence one might suffer in case of trying out a new car brand.

    @Khurram
    Since Proton saga was launched in Pakistan we never heard again about MG3 launch in Pakistan, MG told people it will come under 2 million, here is my opinion when saga was launch under 2 million PKR, MG just give up the idea of launching MG3 because they surely wanted to launch MG3 around the same price of saga, but of course for the same price people will buy the bigger car with bigger cargo space and longer warranty it’s mean people will choose saga over MG3.
    Now for the part price this is still the beginning and there is a lot of restriction about covid, so of course for the time being the price of parts won’t come cheap but this is the same for every brand.
    And since it wasn’t been a year saga was launch i think is too soon to change any part of the cars, if there is an heavy driver (driving a lot) only him have to change the filters and oil according to brand periodical maintenance nothing really expensive.
    Faw will leave Pakistan soon, everybody now, only faw v2 was able to catch some few customer, faw fall in Pakistan.
    Proton is already having a good start with the X-70. We don’t have the number but al haj sure have it.
