As part of our Expert Review series, we have conducted a 0-100 speed test of most new cars of 2021. We have compiled the 0-100 acceleration time parts to give you an idea of what these new cars have got.

Yes, these cars have different engine types and sizes. We are just having a fun compilation of their speed tests. Here it is.

Changan Alsvin

First up, we have the first sedan launched in 2021, the Changan Alsvin. We reviewed the top-of-the-line Alsvin DCT Lumiere variant and recorded its 0-100 acceleration time at 11 seconds

Proton Saga

Next, we have got the second sedan of this year and the cheapest sedan in Pakistan overall, the Proton Saga. The car’s top-of-the-line Ace Automatic variant achieved 100 kilometers per hour in 13 seconds.

Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai’s competitor against Corolla and Civic was also launched this year, and we saw it getting from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.22 seconds.

Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai’s other newly launched sedan is up against the likes of Accord and Camry, and its 2.5L variant’s 0-100 acceleration time is 9.72 seconds.

Toyota Yaris

Toyota Yaris is not a newcomer in the market, but we did include it in the 0-100 speed test because why not? Interestingly enough, the top-of-the-line Yaris variant took more time to achieve 100 km/h than Alsvin but less than Saga. It was 11.14 seconds.

Honda Civic RS Turbo

Another not-so-new sedan is also a part of this speed test: the Honda Civic RS Turbo. The car won the whole thing with the fastest 0-100 acceleration time of 8.18 seconds.

Toyota Corolla Cross

After sedans, we have a couple of newly launched SUVs. The first one is Toyota’s hybrid SUV, Corolla Cross, whose Premium High Grade variant went to 100 km/h in 10.15 seconds.

MG HS

The second SUV is the MG HS, with a 0-100 acceleration time of 11.17 seconds.

DFSK Glory 580 Pro

Next, we have the DFSK Glory 580 Pro, and its 0-100 acceleration time was recorded at 15.13 seconds.
