The spy shots of the all-new 2016 Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Hilux Vigo have been retrieved from the Headlight Magazine. Rest of the shots have been searched from automobile blogs all over the world, specifically the Asian ones.
The photos we can see show us that the Fortuner’s headlamps are slimmer than before and the design looks much inspired from Lexus. This design is reportedly made deliberately to make the Fortuner look more premium than the upcoming Hilux.
The Hilux, on the other hand receives a longer dual styled grille and redesigned headlamps, new bumpers and taillights. The chasis would be shared with the Fortuner which is a ladder-frame type.
Reportedly, the Hilux and the Fortuner would share same engines but it is speculated that they will get newly manufactured turbo diesel units and they will be good with performance and economy.
Toyota has worked on these new cars without compromising on their existing ruggedness and off roading capabilities. Both these cars are planned to be delivered in India in the 2016.
