Suzuki Bike Prices Increased Again in a Month

Suzuki bike prices have been increased for the second time within a month. The company hiked rates of two of its bikes on September 15, 2023, up to Rs. 26,000. After that price jump, the rate of Suzuki GR150 reached Rs. 547,000 compared to the previous Rs. 521,000, as it observed a significant hike of Rs. 26,000. Meanwhile, the revised rate of GSX125 was Rs. 499,000 against Rs. 488,000, as it saw a hike of Rs. 11,000.

And today, Suzuki Pakistan has hiked the prices of Suzuki GD 110S and Suzuki GS 150 by up to Rs. 18,000. The new prices are applicable from October 1, 2023.

Revised Suzuki Bike Prices

  • After the fresh hike, Suzuki GD 110S is going to cost Rs. 352,000 instead of Rs. 335,000 as it saw an increase of Rs. 17,000.
  • Suzuki GS 150’s new price is Rs. 382,000 compared to the previous Rs. 364,000 as its rate is hiked by Rs. 18,000.

According to the company’s notification, the retail prices include ex-factory and freight charges. “The above prices are subject to change without any notice, and the price at the time of delivery will be applicable,” the company said, adding that government taxes will be charged to the consumers.

Reason(s)!?

The fresh revision has taken the price of GD110s over Rs. 350,000, which is astonishing for a bike buyer because these two-wheelers are bought for daily use by middle-class families, but the extravagant price jumps and out-of-bound prices have slowly taken them out of their reach, just like cars. Not so surprisingly, the company has not shared any reason behind this price hike. Earlier, the auto companies blamed the volatile exchange rate for repeated rate increases, but in the last two weeks or so, the Pakistani rupee has actually strengthened against the US dollar, which should’ve made a reverse impact instead of a new jacking up.

Suzuki increased the prices of these two bikes in May 2023 when 1 USD was equal to Rs. 285, and its current rate is around Rs. 288, meaning an increase of only 1%, but the Suzuki bike prices have been increased by 5%, which seems unfair.
