Changan Alsvin Sedan Spotted in Pakistan
In a great news for car enthusiasts, Chinese company Changan’s Alsvin Sedan has been spotted on Pakistan’s roads recently. Camouflaged in Zebra print, the car was seen driving in Islamabad. The Chinese manufacturer is the new company setting to launch its vehicles in Pakistan, which is excellent news for local consumers because they will have one more choice in the market.
At first glance, Alsvin Sedan looks like Hyundai Accent, mainly due to design similarity in tail lights. However, a closer look will highlight the differences in Sedan. The differences include double waistline at the rear, hanging touchscreen, side profile and overall silhouette of the Chinese car. Further, Alsvin Sedan is more subdued in its design as compared to Accent.
Engine Power and Performance:
The car spotted in Pakistan is a 3rd generation, sub-compact Sedan that comes in two variants of the engine. The first one is 1.4 liter 4-cylinder DVVT with 104 horsepower, while the second is 1.5 liter 4-cylinder DVVT engine with 107 horsepower. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. Furthermore, this new vehicle comes with Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) technology, a rearview camera, cruise control, tire pressure monitoring system, blind-spot monitoring, and hill-start assist. The vehicle also loaded with a modern infotainment system with the latest InCall intelligent interconnect system.
The reports have suggested that Changan is planning to launch this car in competition with Toyota Yaris and Honda City. It is also reported that the company will introduce its more articles, including SUVs, crossovers, hunchbacks, and mid-sized Sedans in Pakistan.
The launch will be a new addition in the domestic auto sector after a very long time. This development will increase competition in the local industry and market. We hope that Changan will prove to be a breeze of fresh air in the country.
