“Most Luxurious Land Cruiser Uptil Now” – Test Drive Review
Today we’re back with the test drive impressions of a Toyota Land Cruiser LC300. Launched in 2021, the LC300 has been the most eminent recent launch by Toyota, and its visibility in Pakistan has finally started to rise. In this review, we will check out the first impressions of the LC300’s drive and talk you through the experience of traveling in Toyota’s new flagship SUV.
Drivetrain
The LC200 was famously known as the V8 here in Pakistan due to its engine formation, but sadly, the V8 has been discontinued. Now the Land Cruiser comes with a 3.5 liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing 415 hp and 650 nm of torque. This engine is configured with a 10-speed automatic transmission which drives all four wheels.
Interior
The first thing you notice when sitting inside is the redesigned interior layout. Emphasis on the center cluster is given to a great extent which forms the highlight of this interior. As per our reviewer, it somewhat resembles the interior design of the Lexus LX570, and some trims remind you of a Range Rover. The interior is now very luxurious, and Toyota has upped its game in design and quality. The huge 12.3-inch floating infotainment system and modern instrument cluster compliment this layout.
Acceleration
The new 3.5-liter bi-turbo V6 is smaller in displacement than the previous generations, and many people thought that it would be underpowered but upon driving it, it’s a whole new story. The acceleration has greatly improved, and the drive is much sportier. Due to the 650 nm of torque, the Land Cruiser pushes you against the seat, and the throttle response is impressive. The 10-speed automatic transmission is very supportive, and the turbos spool up instantly upon the flooring.
Handling
The Land cruiser’s handling has also improved significantly. This is because it is now around 200 kilograms lighter, and the chassis is now more rigid with a lowered center of mass. Our reviewer says, “the steering is now very light compared to the previous generation.” It comes with a Variable Flow Control steering which adjusts its stiffness with the speed and driving modes. Road grip and stability are top-notch as the car feels grounded; however, Land Cruiser’s infamous body roll remains.
Comfort
The comfort of the Land Cruiser has always been good with its generational ability to go on any terrain. As per our reviewer, the comfort is very similar to a Range Rover and feels a lot more improved. The suspension is very soft on potholes and uneven surfaces, and due to the dynamic air suspension, the car floats on the road. The seats are very well cushioned, and cabin insulation is exemplary; no traffic or excessive engine noise enters the cabin, providing a very comfortable traveling experience.
