Cheap Russian Oil To Reach Pakistan By May

In a bid to facilitate the general public, the incumbent government finalized the oil deal with Russia. Media reports have revealed that first-ever Russia oil consginment will reach Pakistan by next month. Earlier, Russia was seeking a seriousness from Pakistan to mature the oil deal. And after a meeting between officials from both countries, Moscow has agreed to send one oil cargo as trust test.

Minster of State for Petroleum Musadik Malik has stated that first oil shipment of Russian will reach Pakistan by May 2023. “The first shipment will reach Pakistan next month [May] through a cargo”, he confirmed. The minister told that once the shipment reached, the government will must trickle down the benefit to the inflation-stricken masses.

Malik said that the government has a plan to come up with a different tariff for haves and haves not in the country under a rationalizing gas and power tariff plan. poor class will enjoy a considerable after the tariff is announced.

On the other side, high petrol prices along with a huge rise in inflation have dwindled petrol sales in Pakistan.

Petrol Sales Decreased By 28% In Pakistan

The incumbent government’s not well-thought economic policies have ceased the purchasing power of inflation-stricken masses. A report by Arif Habib Limited posted some shocking figures reporting 28% down in petrol sales. Whereas diesel sales observed a slump of 43%. And the reasons behind this downtrend are dip in demand, high prices including heavy rainfall in Punjab.

Coming to month-on-month (MoM) sales, Petrol sales witnessed just a slight increase of 1%, whilst High Speed Diesel (HSD) price has been decreased by 17%. And when nation was expecting a decrease of in petrol prices, the federal government decided to retain the petrol prices for the next fortnight.
