After Lahore, the capital Police have also issued Islamabad traffic update amid ongoing political protests after arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan. Sharing further updates, the capital police stated that due to protest, traffic is interrupted above the Faizabad bridge. Traffic from Faizabad towards Murree Road is diverted.

In its third tweet, the police shared that there are traffic interruptions near Saien Mirchu Darbar stop of Srinagar Highway. Alternatively, use Peshawar Road.

The protests in different cities of Pakistan started after Imran Khan was arrested from Islamabad High Court (IHC) today. The capital police have asked the citizens to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel. Along with that Lahore police also shared the traffic alert due to the protests in the city. Through its twitter handle the police shared the update about different roads in the metropole, asking the citizens to remain cautious while commuting.
