Pakistani automotive industry witnessed several new entrants recently, such as crossovers, sedans, hatchbacks, etc. However, one category still needs to be explored: the MPV. Forland Safaari has been recently launched in this category. Forland is a Chinese company with various popular products in Pakistan, for instance, small pickup trucks, buses, etc. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the first-look review of the Forland Safaari Deluxe Comfort variant.

Engine of Forland Safaari

The engine is mounted beneath the two front seats. It is a 1500 cc 4-cylinder engine complemented with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI). The engine produces around 107hp and 141 Nm torque. The Safaari comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, which can improve power delivery in hilly areas.

Front Look

Safaari poses an elegant front look. Starting with the headlights, Safaari offers projectors for low beams and halogen lamps for high beams. The front grill is silver and adds to the elegance of the appearance. Moreover, fog lights with chrome outlines have also been incorporated. The distinguishing factor here is the duo-tone outlook, with the bonnet in white and the bumper in bronze, providing a sophisticated contrast.

Side Profile

The duo tone continues extensively on the side profile of the Forland Safaari. Tire specifications are 145/70 R14 with a spare tyre. Side mirrors incorporate turn signals, complementing the vehicle’s style. Furthermore, the fuel tank is located in the car’s rear end with a 43-liter capacity. Also, the back door slides open to ease entry and exit into the Safaari.

Rear Profile

Although an upright design, the Safaari carries a triple color tone comprising white, chrome, and bronze. Moreover, taillights are vertically configured and continue horizontally. Other highlights include a high-mounted brake light, the Forland logo, the ABS logo, and a reverse camera.

Boot Space in Forland Safaari

The boot opening is low heightened to facilitate easy luggage handling with a decent capacity to store two full-sized suitcases. However, a downside is the inability of 3rd row seats to fold, which could increase the boot capacity.

Interior

Surprisingly, the interior carries a modern and intelligent look, containing a duo tone color scheme of beige and black. Secondly, a graceful central wooden trim highlights the elegance. Other interior specifications include a 7-inch media screen, chrome-plated AC vents, analog climate control, a manual handbrake, and a 3-spoke steering wheel.

Moreover, the information cluster is attractive, presenting two analog dials of speed and rpm, a digital multi-information display showing engine temperature, ODO meter, range, fuel average, and a fuel gauge. Also, door panels comprise chrome molding, gloss black plastic trim, and front window controls.

Seats in Forland Safaari

A massive attraction, the seats are genuinely comfortable and sophisticated looking, carrying duo-tone colors and stitched suitably. Adjustment is manual. Furthermore, plenty of leg space, rear AC vents, and headrests add to the utility. However, armrests are absent, causing somewhat incontinence to the user. 3rd row seats are joined together, allowing 2-3 passengers to sit comfortably. All seats support seat belts. Also, the 3rd-row seats recline as well to maximize comfort.

Fuel Average of Forland Safaari

An essential aspect of MPVs is the fuel average. Forland claims Safaari’s average to be about 13-14 km/l within the city.
Variants:
The Forland Safaari is offered in two variants, namely Comfort and Deluxe Comfort.
