The Peugeot 2008 facelift has been spotted in Karachi before its official launch. The images reveal noticeable changes in the exterior compared to the current model available on the market. Here’s our observation of what’s new and changed in the facelift 2008.
Note: All images on the left show the facelifted 2008 model, while those on the right show the current non-facelift version available in the market.
Front Changes
Starting from the front, the headlights have undergone a redesign. Unlike the previous version, which used to have a single LED projector with three claw-shaped DRL bars, in the new facelifted version, we have noticed three separate LED modules. Due to this, we believe the facelift 2008 will have a wider headlight beam and higher lumens (a unit of light brightness).
Additionally, on the front bumper’s edges, the DRL light bars have increased from a single one to three light bars, as the pre-facelift model had DRLs integrated into the headlight, now, they have been relocated to the lower side and multiplied by three.
The grille has transitioned from chrome to black color, and the Peugeot logo on the front grille has also been changed.
Rear Changes
At the rear, some differences are visible. The Peugeot logo, previously written in chrome, is now written in black or dark grey. Moreover, the emblem has been removed on the backside. While it may appear that the “PEUGEOT” lettering is missing in the facelifted model, it is actually present between the taillights—it’s just not visible in the image due to the camera angle and lighting conditions.
The taillights have also changed from their previous vertical arrangement to a new horizontal layout, noticeably altering the rear visual profile of the car.
Other Details
A smaller but notable change includes new alloy rims. If you notice, the pre-facelift had very common-looking rims that almost all manufacturers use, but now, the facelifted model uses some kind of H-shaped alloy rims (don’t know what company calls it in their marketing jargon), and it looks aesthetically pleasing.
Another tiny detail that we have noticed is that the exhaust shape has also changed; the previous model had a circular-shaped dual exhaust, and now it’s square-shaped, and the shape of the rear reflector is also changed.
Please note that all the changes we’ve mentioned so far are unofficial and based solely on our analysis from the images circulating on social media. We’ll share the complete list of confirmed updates—including interior changes—once Peugeot officially unveils the facelifted model. Let us know what you think about this analysis.
