Atlas Honda Launches New CG150 Motorcycle in Pakistan

After a six-year gap with no new additions to its motorcycle lineup aside from annual sticker updates, Atlas Honda has finally introduced an all-new model. Unlike previous years, where the company merely changed the graphics and called it a new model, this release is genuinely new. The motorcycle is named the CG150.

Pricing of CG150

The pricing of CG150 is Rs. 459,900. At this price, it will compete directly with the iconic Suzuki GS150, which is cheaper than the CG150, and Yamaha’s YBR 125, which has a smaller 125cc engine but is priced almost identically, just Rs. 400 less, for the entry-level YBR DX variant.

Highlighted Features of CG150

The company hasn’t officially confirmed the details about the engine yet. However, visually and specification-wise, it appears identical to the 150cc OHC engine used in Honda’s CB150F, including the balancer shaft, which reduces vibrations. Even the engine’s left and right casings look similar to the ones in CG150F.

Atlas Honda highlighted several key features of the CG150. The highlighted specs include LED headlightsall-forward gear shifting similar to the CG125 and CD70, and CBS brakes. CBS stands for “Combined Braking System,” which means that applying the rear brake also partially activates the front brake, improving braking performance.

Visually inspecting the motorcycle from pictures, we saw black alloy rims, front disc brakes, and telescopic shocks that have more travel compared to the standard shocks found on Honda’s CG125 and CD70 models. Another noticeable feature is the presence of a self-start system, identifiable by a bulge on the right side of the engine casing due to the self-start motor.

Moreover, we noticed that chrome is widely used on the CG150, including the silencer, rear and front shocks, mudguards, tail-light garnishes, and front mudguard and indicators are all in chrome finishing.

Overall, after about 6 years, Honda has given us a new model, which is not a sticker change this time. Let us know what you think about this 150cc motorcycle.
