The official launch of the Suzuki Swift 2022 is inching closer and closer. The company rolled out the first locally assembled unit of new Swift yesterday. And now, our sources have claimed that Suzuki is planning to open the bookings for the new model on the 24th of February. That’s exactly two weeks from now.
Suzuki will hopefully display the car and reveal its specs and features before starting the bookings. While we wait for things to become official, let’s have a look at the expected specs, features, and price of the upcoming Suzuki Swift 2022.
What to Expect from Suzuki Swift 2022?
Suzuki Swift has a decade-old history in Pakistan. The B-segment hatchback is one of the best-selling cars in the country. The new 4th generation model will take the local market by storm (if priced reasonably).
Expected Variants
We think the new Swift is coming in three variants. A base variant Swift GL (Manual), a mid variant GL (Auto), and a fully-loaded top-of-the-line variant GLX (Auto).
The first locally assembled unit we saw yesterday is not the top-of-the-line variant. We are expecting fog lamps and alloy wheels in the top-of-the-line Swift variant.
Expected Engine
As per our sources, Suzuki will launch the new model with K12C (1250cc) Dualjet inline-4 engine in Pakistan, possibly mated with 5-Speed Manual or CVT Transmission.
The international market has another Swift variant with a 1000cc turbo engine, but we may not see it here in Pakistan.
Expected Price
Suzuki may launch the new Swift somewhere between Rs. 27 and 28 lacs.
The 4th generation Swift won’t be an entirely new thing in Pakistan. The model has been in the international markets for four years, and we have seen hundreds of imported units of this car. Still, the locally assembled Swift will surely be a big thing, and we can’t wait to see what Suzuki has in store for us.
