Normally, car sales get slow by the end of year because people wait for the new year to buy cars with a new model year. But, in a surprising turn of events, new car sales grew by massive numbers in December 2021. People knew that the mini-budget would take the car prices up, so they probably booked cars in anticipation of the car price hike.

I believe that Toyota Yaris was selling because it was priced reasonably and bore Toyota badge, with recent price hike, it is expected to lose its share to City, which already has a ride quality preferring fanbase. Toyota Yaris’ ride is not bad than City, however, that bumper at front makes you hate the car until you spot a Toyota badge over it and love it just for it being a Toyota.
