Changan “Unconditionally Sorry” Over Price Increase
Changan Master Motor has issued an explanation over the recent price hikes for its sedan, Alsvin. The company said they know that Changan community is upset. “We realize that this price bump is unfortunate news for our community,” the statement read. It further said: “We are unconditionally sorry for letting them down and not being able to do any better on this front at this time.”
Reason of Price Hike:
Explaining the reason, the car manufacturer said pandemic-linked container shortages are consistently driving up shipping fees in addition to other input costs. “This has pushed us to reflect some amount in our prices,” Changan explained.
It reiterated that new prices are not applicable on customers with confirmed booking order forms (PBO).
In the statement, Changan Master Motor said, instead of hiding behind silence at this critical moment, they want to address the issue. “We are still committed to deliver your Alsvin as per promised timelines,” it said.
Changan Alsvin Prices Increased:
Last week, the price of recently-launched Changan Alsvin was increased. As per a notification by the company, the price of Alsvin Comfort DCT had been hiked by Rs50,000, taking its price to Rs2,449,000 against its old rate of Rs2,399,000.

It is pertinent to mention that the prices have been hiked, even before the vehicle hits the road in Pakistan. As per reports, the company deliver the sedan in June-July 2021.
In the notification, the company said the revised prices would not be applicable on pending orders, received till March 11. The car manufacturer implemented new prices from March 15, 2021. “Please ensure that the instrument date must not be over March 11, 2021,” the company stated.
