The love by the customers is apparent from the sales numbers as Honda sold 5,063 units of Honda City (1.2L) units in its calendar year of April-March 2023, compared to around 4,700 units of Toyota Yaris (1.3L) and approximately 4,300 units of Suzuki Swift in the same period. Furthermore, the company sold 2,761 units in Quarter 1 of 2024 while around 1,400 units of Yaris and 1,300 units of Suzuki were sold in the same time period. Last month, 1,192 units of this variant of City were sold compared to over 400 of Yaris and 140 of Swift.
Meanwhile, Honda sold 1,298 units of City (1.5L Asp) in April-March 2023, while Yaris (1.5L) recorded around 550 sales and 502 units of Honda BR-V left the dealership in this time period. In Quarter1 2024, Honda City (1.5L Asp) recorded 649 sales, against 140 of Yaris (1.5L) and 143 of BR-V. Last month, 290 units of this variant left the Honda dealerships, against 42 of Yaris’ variant and 24 of BR-V’s.
