Civic 10th Gen Love Hai Mera – Owner Review
I bet you’ve never seen a Civic enthusiast like Rana Ali Zain before.
Our today’s car review features the 10th Generation Honda Civic X. In this car tour, Zain shares his journey of transforming the basic Civic stock model of 2019 into a sporty sub-compact sedan with snazzy looks and the speed of a Ferrari.
The Honda Civic X was launched in 2016 with three different variants in Pakistan, increased mileage, powerful engine, and cleaner aesthetics. So, let’s jump right into the blog to find out more about the owner’s experience.
Purchase Decision
The owner shared that he was admirer of Civic since childhood. Therefore, he selected a similar model in the first place but when he got it inspected by the experienced PakWheels car inspectors, they informed him that it was an accident car.
So he left it and landed on the current 1.8L Civic X through a PakWheels ad. It was a secondhand car that ran through 2000 km. but looked clean and crisp in condition.
Fuel Economy
The owner shares his experience with Honda City which he often drives at the Ring Road or Motorway. He reviewed that the Honda City was unable to give a mileage above 9 km/L. However, the Honda Civic provides him with an exceptional fuel economy of 11 km/L or above.
Moreover, he told us that he has traveled over 70,000 kilometers at ease in his new Honda Civic.
Features & Modifications
Zain has a passion for sports cars and luxury vehicles which led him to transform the basic Civic model to a sporty version with numerous modifications.
He added the Typer R BodyKit version 2 and changed the front and rear headlights to smoke giving a Bugatti style. He also upgraded to 18-inch alloy wheels, put on Continental tires with a 245 width, changed the brake calipers, installed the carbon-fiber trims with red lining, and renovated the interior with a touch of red and black.
He improved the inner aesthetics by using ambient and star-injected roof lighting that gives an exquisite glow, especially at night.
Interior
He shares that the Honda Civic infotainment system didn’t appeal to him much, so he opted for an Apple CarPlay option that gave him the ease of navigation buttons on his steering wheel and swift communication while driving. However, the music system and LCD are the same.
Moreover, he changed the side mirror with a camera to reduce the blind spot issue. Also, he changed its cluster panel to give an appealing look.
Overall, he is quite impressed with the AC performance and Auto-Climate Control feature.
Comfort
Zain shared that he is quite satisfied with the comfort and road handling of the Civic as it gives him the right driving posture with the proper seating arrangement. The Headroom of the front cabin is good, but the rear head and legroom are not favorable for heighted passengers.
He shared that due to the addition of bodykits he often faces ground clearance issues for which he will switch to the air suspension soon.
Missing Feature
The Honda Civic X designed for the Pakistani market misses Apple CarPlay, rear seat split, and the cabin makes noise while high speeding that he has reduced with sound damping sheets.
Maintenance
The owner shared that he prefers getting his car serviced from the Honda dealership after every 5,000 km. Spare parts, oil, and filter are easily available and have never been an issue for him.
Zain concluded that the Honda Civic X gives you the best city drive with comfort and luxury in one place.
