Deepal has just unveiled its all-new E07, an all-electric multitruck that promises a lot of tech, comfort, and SUV-like features with the practicality of a pickup truck.
Sounds unique, right? Before going in-depth, let’s first understand what the multitruck category actually is, because so far, we’ve only heard of SUVs, pickup trucks, sedans, and hatchbacks, and this might be your first time hearing about the multitruck category.
What is a Multitruck vehicle?
A multitruck is a vehicle that combines the features of an SUV, e.g., chassis and structure, with a bed like a pickup truck. It’s basically a cross of an SUV and a pickup truck.
However, note that, since multitrucks are based on an SUV platform, they use a unibody (monocoque) chassis rather than the ladder-frame chassis found in pickup trucks. Therefore, multitrucks are more inclined towards the SUV category than the pickup truck category.
Pakistan’s First Ever Multitruck Vehicle
This vehicle is unique because it’s not just the company’s first, but also Pakistan’s first-ever multitruck. It’s already available in the Australian and Thai markets, and it will soon be open for booking in the Pakistani market as well.
