Delivery Time of New Honda Civic is Almost 1 Year
Earlier this month, Honda introduced the 11th generation Honda Civic 2022 in three variants. At the time of launch, the delivery time of all variants was October-November, 2022. In just two weeks, the company has increased the wait time to 11 months. As per the new schedule, Honda will deliver the upper two Civic variants in February 2023 and the base variant in August 2022.
That means the Civic Oriel and Civic RS buyers will have to wait for 11 months, while the Civic Standard buyers will get their cars in five months.
“There could be a price revision” – Honda Dealership
If you think the increased delivery time is a bummer, here’s another shocker.
“We are telling our customers that the delivery times for the two high-end variants is February next year, but we are also informing them that there could be a price revision by then,” a Honda dealership told the source.
You book the new Civic now; not only do you have to wait for almost a year, but in the meantime, if the price goes up, you’ll have to pay the new amount to get the car.
Current Prices of New Honda Civic
Honda Civic Standard costs Rs. 5,099,000. (New delivery time: August 2022)
Honda Civic Oriel costs Rs. 5,399,000. (New delivery time: February 2023)
Honda Civic RS costs Rs. 6,149,000. (New delivery time: February 2023)
The booking price is Rs. 1 million for the Standard and Oriel variants and Rs. 1.2 million for the RS variant.
The increased delivery time and expected price jump could upset the interested Civic buyers and hurt the car’s sales. Honda knows that better than anybody else. Why the company decided to change course is a mystery. But then again, every Honda move is a mystery, isn’t it?
What do you think about the delivery date from now update on the Honda Civic? How much do you think the prices will go up in one year? Make a guess.
One year! Wow so many people are jostling to book the vehicle even at such a high price and yet people commenting in social media and C.S.P. where ridiculing the company for pricing the vehicle. Goes to show how misinformed these people are and Civic remains attractive to its fanbase.
This Honda Civic sure is good, now Toyota Corolla will be in trouble, Hyundai Elantra got the advantage to have a 2L natural aspirated engine, thus offering a different engine, for the customer who are looking for something different.
With 7500 Booking of this new Civic in 2 week, i’am sure it will be successful.
But one year of deliveries time ? What is the excuse of Honda ?
Proton was also making a year deliveries because of the covid, not only Malaysia impacted Proton but also worlwide car brand, as we know Malaysia is on of the Major producer of semi conductor for worldwide car brand like Toyota and thus affecting market like Europe and North America. When time come for the deliveries of CKD in Pakistan, Malaysia was stricked by Flood, Proton a least got some excuses for late deliveries.
Sure as you said sister is a Mystery only Honda know…
