What are you comparing them to? If you are comparing them to Audi or Merc, fine, this will be cheaper. However, compared to a lot of very good EV SUVs from Chinese Brands who are ,right now, leading the pack when it comes to EVs, this is not that good.

You are talking about EVs in China because you have mentioned Chinese Prices in RMB. Please check out BYD Song, BYD Atto 3, GAC Ayon Y, MG ZS EV to name a few.

Our problem is, due to the old auto industry Oligopoly, our EV policy is DOA (dead on arrival). It is limited to only 50Kwh battery for passenger vehicles for the tax benefits. Battery sizes are getting bigger each year. Thus, even this Honda EV will never come here because even the smallest battery it has is bigger than 50kwh. Even if it does, this very average EV, will become a toy for the rich. How sad is that.

Lastly, Honda’s “unique features” as you put it; The Chinese Brands have been doing all that and more for years now. I know it is hard for the Jap Fanboys to swallow but the Chinese are years ahead of the Japs when it comes to EVs.
