The Nishat-Chery partnership is beginning to make notable progress in Pakistan’s electric vehicle (EV) market. The latest development from this collaboration is the official launch of the all-electric SUV, the Jaecco J6, in the local market.
To recap, back in February 2025, the local automotive scene witnessed a surprising shift when Chery, previously aligned with Ghandhara Automotive, ended its long-standing partnership. Chery then announced a new alliance with NextGen Auto — a subsidiary of Hyundai Nishat Motors.
This new venture was marked by a major announcement: the introduction of electric and hybrid vehicles from Chery’s sub-brands, Omoda and Jaecco, into Pakistan. Both Omoda and Jaecco are part of Chery International and focus on New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), including Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs), and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs).

Dimensions
The electric SUV Jaecco J7 boasts dimensions of 4406 mm in length, 1910 mm in width, and 1715 mm in height. It features a wheelbase of 2715 mm and a ground clearance of 195 mm. Tyre and wheel setups vary slightly across variants: while two versions come fitted with 225/60 R18 tyres, a higher-end variant feature 225/55 R19 tyres.
