Isn’t it already available with an HEV variant ?
A PHEV will have bigger batteries, reducing cargo space capacity, making the car heavier and more EXPENSIVE
Didn’t they plan to launch an ICE variant ?
PHEV is a bad move, this car is handsome inside and outside, but the success won’t follow

Haval/Sazgar Pakistan need to really get their pricing right on this SUV.

Currently, the GWM Tank Hybrid is available in the same trim in South Africa AND in Australia as an Imported vehicle just like in Pakistan.

GWM Tank Hybrid Ultra sales price in South Africa – 1.23 million Rand = 1 caror 86 lacs PKR
GWM Tank Hybrid Ultra sales price in Australia – 74 thousand AUD – 1 caror 33 lacs PKR

GWM Tank Hybrid Ultra sales price in Pakistan – 4 caror 50 lacs PKR 🤯🤯🤯

WHY is this SUV SO expensive in Pakistan?! I understand taxes are to blame but looking at the price disparity between ours and other markets, taxes alone cannot account for the almost 3 caror price difference! The Tank’s price is higher in South Africa due to the higher taxes there but the Tank’s price in Pakistan is 2.6 caror higher than even that!!!

So, Haval/Sazgar, please keep the prices realistic. Please adopt the sales method of maximizing sales rather than maximizing profits and then waiting for that one person to buy the damn thing! Even if you had priced the Tank hybrid at 2 caror and marketed it right; for the price of a Fortuner, this could have been a sales hit. Now people, outside of a scarce few, barely even know it exists. Not good!

So, PLEASE get the prices right! Even the PHEV version, when it hits other markets, will not be more than 2 to 2.5 caror PKR. Please keep the local pricing in keeping with those prices instead of bringing in the PHEV and then selling it for over 5 or 6 caror; forever waiting for that one elusive customer. Instead of forcing exclusivity, prioritize inclusivity and get more people in the buyers’ seat. The people will get a serious budget hero that will outshine the so called “exclusive” ones and you get good sales etc. Isn’t that ultimately the goal?
