“Haval H6 HEV Gives 18 km/l Within City Easily” – Owner Review
Today we’re back with the owner’s review of a 2023 Haval H6 HEV. Haval recently launched the CKD Hybrid variant of its H6, and this is one of the first few cars on the road. It has a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder engine paired with an electric motor generating a combined 240hp and 530 nm of torque.
This is paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission, delivering power to the front wheels. In this review, the owner shares his insight on the different crossovers he has kept and what this H6 HEV offers.
Purchase Decision
The owner previously drove the Chery Tiggo 8 pro, a 7-seater. He really liked that car, but when his need for its 7 seats was over, he decided to specifically switch to the H6 HEV. A major decision-making factor was also the fact that the H6 was hybrid, resulting in way more fuel efficiency within inter-city travel, and the aggressive looks added some bounty points. He bought the car at an invoice of PKR 9,749,000.
Interior
Starting with the interior, the owner feels that the H6 HEV’s interior feels more spacious than the Tiggo 8 in height and width. The minimalistic yet modern design is very attractive, with the two digital screens very well integrated into the dash. As per the owner, the quality of materials used in the cabin is exemplary and feels way more premium than other crossovers in the market.
Power
Another reason for switching to the H6 HEV was the power. As per the owner, the 530 nm of torque feels crazy upon acceleration, and the power figures are not just on paper.
He feels the kick-down is way quicker than standard turbocharged engines with a slight delay. It also has a launch control system that you can use after 3 to 4 steps to avail of its full potential when accelerating from 0.
Fuel Average
Coming to the main highlight of this crossover, the fuel average is exemplary within the city and even better at stop-and-go traffic due to the regenerative braking. As per the owner, it does 17 to 18 km/l easily within the city, and this drops down to 11 to 12 km/l on the highway. “This is almost double what I got in my previous car”, he added.
Features
The Haval H6 HEV comes with a list of modern features. These include several driver assistance features like a 360-degree camera, auto parking, blind spot mentor, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, cornering brake control, second collision mitigation, emergency lane keep, lane change assist, and whatnot. Other features include 6 airbags, dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with IOS and Android connectivity, ambient lighting, panoramic roof, driving modes, and much more.
Spare Parts
According to the owner, the availability of spare parts is not an issue as dealerships have stock available for it, or they get it arranged conveniently. Prices are obviously parallel with the car’s price, but as per the owner, they are not exuberantly high like some cars but are more or less similar to parts of other Chinese crossovers.
