And the price of upcoming crossover SUV, Haval H6, has been revised, means increased, once again. However, Sazgar Engineering, the local partner of Haval, is saying that it is not a price increase rather it is a US dollar effect because the company is selling CBU units of H6. “We booked the cars when dollar rate was Rs153, and now it is at Rs172, so it is the hike in exchange rate,” the official told us.

New Price of Haval H6

After the constant jump in dollar rate, the revised price of Haval H6 is Rs6,849,000 against its old rate of Rs6,495,000. So, it means there would be a jump of Rs354,000.

The dealerships of the company also confirmed that the prices have been revised. It is pertinent to mention that this is Ex-Factory price of the vehicle.

Earlier Increase in Haval Jolion Price

On September 7th, Haval Jolion , the second car offered by Sazgar Engireeing, saw a jump in price for the second time. As per a notification, the new ex-factory price of the SUV is Rs6,020,000, against its old price of Rs5,725,000, meaning the car saw a jump of Rs295,000.

Explaining the price revision, the company stated “Due to unfavourable fluctuation in the exchange rate of US dollar in a very short time, the company has no other option but to revise the price of Haval Jolion,” the notification read.

The notification further read this increase is unfortunate and beyond the company’s control.

Dollar Rate Vs Car Prices

We have been expressing concern over the increasing dollar rate as it stands at Rs172 today and how it may impact the local automobile market. It is pertinent to mention that the rate fell to Rs153; however, it has bounced back in the last two months. There was a serious threat of car prices increasing, and Sazgaar Engineering is the first one doing so.

We hope that the government will devise a comprehensive policy to control the dollar rate so that the common customer can get cars at reduced prices.
