Honda City Booking is Open But ‘Without Exact Delivery Time’ – Reports

Honda Atlas is all set to launch the new Honda City (6th Generation) in Pakistan. A large number of consumers were not happy with the launch of the 6th Generation as global markets are enjoying the 7th Generation of the car. Also, the consumers were displeased that the company has started the car’s pre-booking without revealing its actual price, shape, specs and features. Still, the Honda lovers started booking the car as Honda Atlas opened it officially on May 17th.

Issues in Honda City Booking:

But just after a couple of days, the reports started emerging that the consumers are facing issues in booking new Honda City. As per our sources, the Honda dealerships are taking the Pay Orders (PO) for the booking but not giving the exact delivery time. Earlier, it was reported that the company would start delivering the car in August, but now the delivery time has reached October/November 2021.

If this is the case, then the question arises why dealers are not delivering cars on time, even though people are booking it without seeing it. Honda Atlas is one of the oldest car manufacturers in Pakistan and has a robust manufacturing system; hence, this much delay is unjustified.

Further research revealed that some Honda dealerships are saying that the 1.2L will be delivered in October/November, but 1.5L Honda City will be handed over to the consumers in 2022, meaning next year. 

Will it Encourage ‘ON Money’? 

The answer is YES! because more the late delivery, more chances of ‘ON Money’ because people will be ready to pay more to get the new car immediately. And the company like Honda Atlas must take strict action to stop it. Due to the late deliveries, the ‘ON Money’ culture is dominating the local market.

Response by Honda Atlas: 

Responding to these reports, Honda Atlas official told PakWheels.com that a Delivery Time SMS is automatically sent to him when a consumer book a vehicle. “The payment is credited,” the official said. He further said that the customer can view his Order Delivery Status from the Honda website as well.

 If this is the case, then it is great, however, Honda should look into the complaints of late delivery as it could hamper their sales.
