Where we get just new stickers, color or a new nut in the name of upgradation, the updated version of Honda Unicorn has recently hit Indian market with an upgraded engine.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) launched the bike with a starting price of INR 1.10 lakh, excluding taxes and fees. Although the overall design of the motorcycle remains mostly unchanged, notable updates include a new OBD2-compliant engine and an extended warranty period of up to 10 years.

Power
The 2023 Honda Unicorn 160 is equipped with a fuel-injected, OBD2-compliant, single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 162.7cc. It utilizes air cooling for temperature regulation. This powerplant delivers a maximum power output of 12.7 bhp at 7,500 RPM and a peak torque of 14 Nm at 5,500 RPM.
The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox for smooth gear transitions. As for braking, the front wheel is equipped with a disc brake that incorporates a single-channel ABS system, while the rear wheel utilizes a drum brake.
The updated Unicorn is likely to attract customers seeking practicality, refinement, and reliability in their motorcycle choice. However, some may find the design of the Unicorn to be outdated compared to its competitors, as other manufacturers continuously refresh their models.
Notable competitors to the Unicorn include the Hero Xtreme 160R, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, and Bajaj Pulsar P150, which offer contemporary designs and features that appeal to a wider range of buyers.
