Hyundai Saw Whooping 81% Sales Jump

Where Pakistan’s half-beating economic pulse has shattered the country’s auto industry, and automobile giant in the country dubbed Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has observed a historic slump in its sales charts, Hyundai  flaunted a surprising jump of 81%.

As per the PAMA report, the new entrant, dubbed Hyundai Nishat, shifted the sands. The Company sold 1,140 units last month compared to 631 in Dec’22. The Company sold 173 units of Elantra, 191 units of Sonata, 156 units of Porter, and 620 units of Tucson.

On the contrary, Pak Suzuki marked a surprising decline of 74%, surpassing fellow Toyota and Honda. The Company sold 2,946 cars last month, contra 11,342 cars in December. (MoM decline: 74%)

Coming to other Japanese carmakers, Toyota Indus Motors recorded a downturn of 26% in its sales. The Company sold 3,570 units in January against 2,823 units in December. (MoM decline: 26%). Moreover, Honda Atlas also posted a new low – dropped by 30%, selling 2,704 units in January compared to 2,079 units in December. 

Car-Wise Sales Breakdown

Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company sold 44 units of Alto, 534 units of Suzuki Cultus, 671 units of Suzuki Wagon R, 504 units of Suzuki Swift, 556 units of Suzuki Bolan, and 628 units of Suzuki Ravi.

Toyota Indus sold 1,719 units of Corolla and Yaris and 1,851 units of Fortuner and Hilux.

Honda Atlas sold 1,620 units of Hilux and City and 1,084 units of BR-V and HR-V.

Hyundai Nishat sold 173 units of Elantra, 191 units of Sonata, 156 units of Porter, and 620 units of Tucson.
