As the official brochure of KIA Stonic was leaked yesterday night; and we shared the specs and features of the car with you. The major surprise in the brochure was its two variants, i.e., EX and EX+. Although there are not many changes between the two vehicles, we still decided to compare these two.
Dimensions
Both vehicles are 4140mm Long, 1760mm Wide and 1500mm High with a 2580mm Wheelbase. The Ground Clearance in the car is 165mm, while the Fuel Tank has a 55-Liter capacity.
Engine and Transmission
Both variants will come with a 1.4L MPI engine (1368 Displacement). It produces 98.6hp and 133.3Nm of Torque and mated with 6-Speed Automatic Transmission.
Exterior
The Headlights in EX are Bi-Function Projection Halogen, while EX+ has LED ones. The Rear Lamps in the first variant is Halogen and LED in the second one. Meanwhile, both have Auto Light Control.
The additional features in EX+ are Sunroof and Roof Rack. Coming to the side, you will see 15-inch Alloy Wheels in the base variant and 16-inch in the top variant. Along with that, both have a 15-inch Disc Brakes at the Front and 14-inch Disk Brakes at the Rear.
Interior
The upcoming subcompact crossover SUV has Electronic Power Steering (EPS) with Tilt and Telescopic Steering Column and Media Controls. The MID size in the first variant is 3.5-inch TFT, while it is 4.2-inch TFT in the second one, while both cars have an 8-inch Floating Infotainment Touchscreen.
The EX will offer Black Single Tone Interior, compared to Grey Two-Tone with Yellow Package in EX+. The Seat Material in the Base variant is Hi-Grade Fabric against Fabric with Artificial Leather in the Top variant. And both of them have Manual Driver Seat Adjustment.
Comfort
The Top-of-the-line variant has extra options in this category, including Front + Rear Parking Sensors, Cruise Control, Smart Key, Push Start, and Rear Camera. The Base one has a Keyless Entry option.
Both cars will come with Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Immobilizer.
Safety
The safety features in these two variants are similar as both will come with 6 Airbags, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), ABS and 5 Seatbelts. This makes the car relatively safe and secure.
Price
The company has launched KIA Stonic EX in Rs3,660,000 and EX+ in Rs3,880,000.
