The Afghanistan cricket team has already arrived in Lahore for the Asia Cup cricket series, with matches scheduled for September 3, 5, and 6 at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Parking Spots
To alleviate parking woes, authorities have designated various areas where cricket fans can conveniently park their vehicles. Liberty Park, Government College Gulberg, and LDA Plaza have been identified as suitable parking locations, allowing fans easy access to Gaddafi Stadium. Furthermore, fans traveling from different routes can benefit from alternative roads after the teams’ passage, ensuring minimal disruption.
Diversions
The Lahore Traffic Police has strategically planned to manage traffic on key roads. Mall Road, Jail Road, Canal Road, Ferozepur Road, Main Boulevard Gulberg, and other routes will adhere to normal traffic rules during the matches. According to the traffic plan, fans coming from Mall Road, Jail Road, and Canal Road can park near Government College for Boys, while those coming from Thokar Niaz Baig can park at Government College for Girls.
Moreover, Lahore Traffic Police will be using FM radio station 88.6 to disseminate real-time traffic updates, providing residents with live information on alternative traffic routes and the status of major roads.
