Today, we are here with the owner’s review of Toyota Land Cruiser Cygnus 2003 with a 4.7L engine. This shape remained in the market from 1997-2006. Basically, Cygnus was a Japanese variant of the Land Cruiser, and it got very popular in Pakistan.

Price and Purchase Decision: 

The owner bought this car last year during the lockdown at the price of Rs7.5million. “I was looking for Prado as I already had a 2007 model. But a friend told me about this car, and due to its excellent condition, I decided to purchase it,” he said.

Fuel Average: 

As per the owner, the car’s intracity fuel average is around 5 kilometres/litre, while it gives 7 kilometres/litre on the long route.

Drive Experience: 

The owner told us that his drive experience with this car has remained excellent. “It is an all-terrain vehicle; hence, I have enjoyed its drive,” the owner said.

Potential Issues in Car: 

The owner has not faced any issues with this car because he had this car during his stay in Dubai, and that is why he knows about it. “Except the regular maintenance and oil changes, there are no major expenses for this car,” he said. The only issue or problem this car can have is its height control system.

Salient Features:

The Cygnus has Telescopic Steering Wheel with Steering Controls. You can control Multimedia function and Bluetooth Connectivity through these controls. Furthermore, it is a 7-seater car with Single Zone Climate Control, Sunroof, Actual Leather Heated Seats. The car has safety features like Dual Airbags and ABS, along with the best Suspension.

Maintenance Charges: 

The owner gets its oil changed after 5,000 kilometres, and as he uses 5W Grade Oil, which costs him around Rs15,000.

Resale: 

As per the owner, this car’s resale value is exceptional; even random people offer to buy it. “Although the prices have gone up, still people want to buy this one,” he added.

Known Faults:

As mentioned earlier, its Suspension can cause issues in the long run. Along with that, if you don’t change its Gear Oil regularly, the GearBox will cause problems. Also, the Front Wheels’ Shields have always caused problems.

    Gear oil? I believe every car requires it and it needs to be changed, so it is not exactly an issue, is it?
