Major Roads Closed in Rawalpindi Amid Pakistan–South Africa Test Match

93

RawalpindiThe City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has closed several major roads due to the ongoing Pakistan vs South Africa Test match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. A traffic diversion plan is in place, and alternate routes remain open with smooth flow.

According to the CTP, Stadium Road, Double Road, and sections of Murree Road near the stadium are temporarily closed during match hours. Roads will reopen after crowds disperse at the end of each day’s play.

To manage the traffic load and guide commuters,  additional traffic wardens have been deployed across diversion points and entry routes. Emergency lanes are being kept clear for ambulances and essential services.

Citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary travel near the stadium and cooperate with on-duty personnel, to ensure a safe and congestion-free environment for all.

The public can stay updated through the CTP Helpline 1915 or tune in to Traffic Police FM Radio 88.6 for real-time information regarding road closures, diversions, and traffic flow.
