The M-5 Motorway has been closed due to floodwater, and the Motorway Police has implemented a traffic diversion plan to facilitate road users, spokesperson NHMP, Syed Imran Ahmed confirmed.

Alternative Routes for Multan–Sukkur Traffic

  • Traffic from Multan to Sukkur can travel via the Shah Shams Interchange, diverting onto the National Highway, and later rejoining the M-5 at the Uch Sharif Interchange.

  • Traffic from Sukkur to Multan can exit at the Uch Sharif Interchange to use the National Highway, and then rejoin the M-5 at the Sher Shah Interchange.

That’s the normal M-5 route that travelers usually use; it’s currently closed.
NHMP suggests using this route, which is the GT road from Multan to Uch Sharif.

Motorway Police on Ground for Assistance

The Motorway Police is present on-site to guide road users and ensure safe travel through alternative routes. Patrolling officers are actively assisting drivers to manage the traffic flow.
