LAHORE – The Motorway Police have issued a safety advisory for commuters as heavy rainfall continues to lash various central regions of the country, affecting several major highways.
According to a spokesperson, Syed Imran Ahmed, for the Motorway Police, light to heavy rain is currently falling on the following sections:
- Motorway M-2: From Lahore to Kala Shah Kaku.
- Motorway M-2: From Pindi Bhattian to Kala Shah Kaku.
- Lahore-Sialkot Motorway: Rain is ongoing along the entire route.
- Motorway M-3: From Faizpur to Nankana Sahib.
The spokesperson emphasized that Motorway Police personnel are deployed around the clock to ensure the safety of all road users. However, drivers are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution while traveling in these wet conditions.
“The safety of road users is our top priority. A little caution from drivers can prevent accidents and ensure a safe journey for everyone during the rainy season,” the spokesperson added.

- Reduce Speed: Maintain a significantly lower speed than usual.

- Avoid Non-Essential Travel: Postpone trips if possible, especially during periods of intense rainfall.
