Today we’re back with the owner’s review of Nouman Muney’s 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray. The C7 Corvette debuted in 2014 and remained in production till 2019. It comes with a naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8 producing close to 455 hp and 620 nm of torque. This is configured with an 8-speed automatic transmission delivering power to the rear wheels. A Z06 version was also introduced in this model, which made 650 hp with the help of a supercharger. In this review, the owner shares with us his experience so far with this American sports car and briefs us about its specs and features.

Modifications

The owner has modified this Corvette with a few performance upgrades. He has fitted a Hellcat air intake and American racing downpipes, enabling it to produce between 550 to 570 hp. Besides that, the car is completely stocked, and no changes have been made to the cosmetics.

Salient Features

Although sports cars are purely built for performance and tend not to have excessive frills, the Corvette also comes with quite a few luxury features. These features include electric bucket seats with memory function, a dual-zone climate control, plush leather upholstery, a heads-up display, a convertible roof, etc. performance features include paddle shifters which are very responsive, driving modes, traction modes and this being the 3LT version also has an inbuilt launch control system.

Missing Features

As per the owner, this car has all the features he expects from a modern sports car; however, he sometimes feels the need for parking sensors. In his opinion, blind spots in the cabin limit visibility, especially upon parking. Besides that, it has all the quirks of a sports car and a luxury tourer.

Fuel Average

As per the owner, he has had a very unique experience with the fuel average. According to him, the Corvette gave an average of around 9 km/l in Islamabad, with less traffic congestion. On the other hand, in Karachi, the same car gives around 3 to 4 km/l due to the road conditions.

Maintenance And Spare Parts

As per the owner, maintenance is not a big hassle as there are several specialized workshops for performance cars nowadays. Although, the cost is obviously high where an average oil change every 4 to 5,000 kilometers costs 45,000 rupees. As for the spare parts, availability is not an issue, as every part is available in Dubai and arrives in just a few days.
