Lahore Traffic Police have announced very strict action against the one wheelers on August 14, 2022. In a statement, the City Traffic Police stated that the force has started taking actions to stop bike one wheeling on Independence Day.
“Workshops and bike mechanics have been warned against any modifications for the day,” the police said, adding that in case of violation a police case would be registered against both mechanic and bike owner.
“Don’t turn independence happiness in sorrow,” the police said. Furthermore, the police is preparing a list against former one wheeling offenders. “Parents should play a positive role in countering this problem,” the statement read.
“One wheeling will not be allowed at any cost on the eve of 14th August,” the police asserted.

In another post, the City Traffic Police have said that parents, mechanic are also responsible for death of one wheeler. “Help us saving lives,” CTO Lahore Muntazir Mehdi said.

August 14 is falling on this Sunday and every year a large number of youngsters come on the roads for one-wheeling. Every year this menace causes deaths, still it persists. Every year police appeal to bikes not to indulge in this practice but it has not effect.
The one wheeling causes traffic violations, commuting problems for other citizens, and above all direct danger to the life. Furthermore, such bikes make the travelling impossible for families on roads on occasions like August 14. Although the police have taken serious steps against it, still there are bikers who do one wheeling.
And as mentioned earlier, parents can play the biggest role in controlling the issue. They must keep an eye on their children and check if there is any alteration in the bike. If the problem is controlled from home, then the issue would end completely.
