We are here with a unique bike review today as this machine is unique in styling and performance. The bike’s name is Indian Chief Vintage, and there are only two Indian Chiefs in Pakistan. The under review bike is the 2016 model and 2018 import.

History

In the start, the bike was called Indie bike, but the company got bankrupt. In 2011, Polaris bought the company and reintroduced Indian bikes. It is a combination of classic looks and modern technology. Furthermore, there are three current variants of the bikes, i.e., Indian Chief Vintage, Indian Chief Dark Horse and Indian Chieftain.

Bike’s Body

At the front, you will see an emblem, and whenever you start the bike, a light is switched on in Red Indian’s face. The motorcycle has Chromed LED Headlamps, LED Auxiliary Lamps and LED Side Signals.

The front Mudguard also has a classic design with White Wall Tyres. Then there is the Front Screen, which can be removed with one clip. Furthermore, brakes on the front and rear are ABS Disc.

At the rear, you will see classic design Back Light and Chrome Fenders.

Switches & Controls of Bike

This is a Keyless Bike, and if you have Key Fob in your pocket, you can switch the bike on with a power button on its tank. You will find the Start Button, Kill Switch, Hazard Light Button, and Cruise Control on the right side of the handle.

On the left side, the bike has buttons of Horn, Headlights On/Off, and Indicators. Meanwhile, the owner has installed an Aftermarket Road Thunder Soundbar for music.

On the bike’s tank, you will find a Fuel Gauge and Speedometer. The meter goes up to 200 miles/hour, while it also shows Trip A, Trip B, Digital RPM, Time, Temperature, Battery Voltage and Fuel Average. There are two Fuel Covers, but one is just for design.

You will find the Indian Motorcycle Logo in almost every part of the bike, including Leather Race Grips, Rear View Mirrors, Brakes, etc.

Seating

The bike’s seat is also made of Leather, while you can install a carrier or another leather seat in the rear. Furthermore, you will find Leather Bags on both sides because it is a bigger bike. A couple of decades ago, people used to buy huge bikes and install leather saddlebags on the side for travel, luggage or style, so the bike companies started introducing Bagger Bikes, and the style has been a hit since then.

Engine

The bike has a 1800cc engine, and the name of this engine technology is Thunderstroke. If you look closely at the engine design, it seems like the headgear of a Red Indian. The Exhaust Pipes look like Shark Finn Tales, which is quite a standard design in vintage cars.

Performance

The owner had some apprehensions about its performance, and he thought he would have to be extra careful because of its fancy styling. “But I rode this bike up to 400 kilometres in rain and summer heat and it proved that it is not the bike of looks rather it has excellent performance in every condition,” he told us, adding that except changing Engine Oil and cleaning the Air Filter, he hasn’t done any maintenance work on this bike for last 3,000 miles.

Maintenance Cost

According to the owner, the maintenance cost is relatively higher compared to a common bike. “It costs me around Rs30,000 for a single oil change,” he stated.

Price

The owner bought this bike is around a Rs6million. However, he is selling this bike, and you can ad here.
