PakWheels.com Automobile Industry Survey 2018 explores the tyre industry of Pakistan

Every year PakWheels.com conducts automobile industry survey to ascertain buying and selling trends, preferences and behaviours. The survey is also conducted to make a year-on-year comparison and analysis of any change or deviation in behaviours, preferences, and trends. The survey provides valuable insights for anyone interested in or related to the automobile sector of Pakistan.

For cars, 58% of respondents preferred Yokohama, Dunlop and General tyres in 2018. Similarly, 58% of respondents preferred Dunlop, Bridgestone, and Yokohama in 2017. This shows that from 2017 to 2018, General replaced Bridgestone in the top three most favoured tyre brands. Overall General, Yokohama, Bridgestone, Dunlop, and Michelin remained the top five most favoured tyre brands in 2017 and 2018. The popularity of Dunlop and Bridgestone tyres decreased from 2017 to 2018. The popularity of  Yokohama tyres decreased while the popularity of Michelin and General tyres remained the same. For bikes, 75% of respondents preferred Servis, Panther and General tyres in 2018 and 2017. The major anomaly observed from 2017 to 2018 was the entry of Dunlop and Ghauri tyres and the exit of Bridgestone tyres from the most favoured tyre brands. The popularity of Servis and Panther tyres increased from 2017 to 2018. The popularity of Diamond and General tyres decreased from 2017 to 2018.

The trends observed in the preference for tyre brands remained more or less the same from 2017 to 2018 apart from a few anomalies.
